Coffee of the Week

On a Sunday, it is quite difficult to imagine having an alarm-clock on at 8.30am. Yet this was the case today. Reason for that: movie theatre for sure! Fairy tales sometimes require effort!! Meeting point at 11.05am with the coffee of the week from Starbuck's, so crowded with excited children everywhere! Nevertheless, the movie was worth waking up so early for a sunday morning.
The Princess and The Frog is a terrific Disney movie! Warm visuals and textures, a real gumbo of music, love and shining stars in the sky. I highly recommend it to just anyone!

Invictus, 'a soul-stirring story'

Nominated for producer of the year, Clint Eastwood draws the portrait of Nelson Mandela with great, fine touch. The critics are unanimous. Among them:

'Morgan Freeman was born to play Nelson Mandela.' (Rolling Stone)
'Matt Damon gives one of the best performances of his career.' (Back Stage)

Plot:
From director Clint Eastwood, “Invictus” tells the inspiring true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman) joined forces with the captain of South Africa’s rugby team, Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon), to help unite their country.
Newly elected President Mandela knows his nation remains racially and economically divided in the wake of apartheid. Believing he can bring his people together through the universal language of sport, Mandela rallies South Africa’s underdog rugby team as they make an unlikely run to the 1995 World Cup Championship match.

St Martin

Impressive picture of a landing at the 'Princesse Juliana' airport, on the dutch side of St Martin (West Indies) which apparently attracts attention!!

Bright Star, brilliant

This morning I jumped into the 19th century!

Plot:

The drama based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne, which was cut short by Keats' untimely death at age 25.

Great landscapes and rimes, I loved it!
A brilliant movie with Ben Whishaw (Perfume: the story of a murderer) and Abbie Cornish.
The rythm of the movie is quite slow but we never get bored with the true poems of the romantic poet which makes the story 'out of time'.

Avatar sinks Titanic's record

'In the end, the only man capable of defeating James Cameron was James Cameron. Titanic, the film-maker's epic 1997 romance set on the doomed ocean liner, yesterday lost its crown as the top grossing movie of all time to Avatar, an epic 3D romance set on an Earth-like moon orbiting a distant star.

The science-fiction saga almost overtook its predecessor's record of $1.843bn at the weekend, after six weeks topping box-office charts around the globe. Twentieth Century Fox confirmed yesterday that the record had finally been broken.'

Cinema program

  1. A fairy tale set in Jazz Age-era New Orleans and centered on a young girl named Princess Tiana and her fateful kiss with a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.
  2. With a job that has him traveling around the country firing people, Ryan Bingham leads an empty life out of a suitcase, until his company does the unexpected: ground him.
  3. Swimming with the fishes, sunbathing with seals, flooding by the swell, dancing with the jellyfishes, such experiences that we could hardly feel with Océans.

Exsonvaldes

Some voices, instruments, out of a concert hall. It's a bit like a new trend. A 'close to people' where everything stops to let the music play.
I'm speaking about the concerts of the french group Exsonvaldes. A series of dates everywhere in France recorded on the album There's no place like homes (which turns out today!!!)

For sure, there's no place like homes and we enjoy especially when the melody prevails over the lyrics. Along with Priscilla Ahn, indé as I like it :)
Check out the private show which took place mid january in a private flat. And when it's a rerun of Take on Me from A-ha, you love it all the more!

Krisprolls

Sweden, where everything began... in 1878! A bit more than 100 years afterwards, the legendary little swedish breads came onto the french market. In 2010 it is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Originally, Anders Pahlsson, a baker, invented the recipe of the swedish breads.
Today, the French are the 1st consumers in the world of the swedish toasts Krisprolls. The Krisprolls recipe, 100% natural, which coutains no emulsifier, no conservative, no additive, is seducing more than ever!

Some time stop in front of the shelf at the supermarket and discover all the versions, including the latest one with chocolate for those who have a sweet tooth for breakfast or any break!

The recipe is not the only key factor of success for the little breads... The advertising plays a great role in their development! You can't eat Krisprolls without having the spirit of the crazy husband! Check out one of my favourites:

ˈɡɜrbərə

Gerbera is part of the sunflower family, along with daisies. It is one of my favourite flowers (after the rose, for sure).
Very popular, it's the 5th most used cut flower in the world!

What about you, what are your favourite flowers??

Planet Hute

I've known the group 'Pamela Hute' for a real little time now (something like 3 weeks) and I've already forgotten how it came to me! Anyway... This blog will also be sharing music, groups I like at a time when everyone is trying to get new sounds for their iPods! Voice, electric guitar, drums, synths on their myspace.
Listen to Parachute! And you'll all start 'living in a parachute'... so to speak!

Find more about Pamela Hute: http://www.pamelahute.com

Cameron, the caméléon

Avatar, a film that I've seen twice til now! Something you must know to follow this blog better: I have a movie pass (UGC Illimité) and it's so great! End of the advertisement.

Now back to this wonderful film that transports you very very far, in another galaxy probably, on a 'new' planet called Pandora.
Without love, no world could supposedly survive... So you'll have an alien romance to keep up the pace of the film!

For the languages addicted, you could also possibly learn a new language, the language of the indigenous inhabitants of Pandora, the Na'vis.

A thrilling ride into space thanks to James Cameron. If you still haven't seen it, run into the closest movie theatre and get yourself transported!

Let's get it started, ha!!

Right.
Let's start a new adventure with this blog! If some are just curious or hanging around on the web, you've got the place! I can't promise that I'll always be posting thrilling tales but I'll make my best to share some of my world - photo addict, curious in general, keen on crunchy information.
